TRIUMPHED LAST NIGHT AT THE 52ND ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS…

He’s known for his more than 40 years of impeccable artistic excellence, of continually refreshing his discography and list of hits. His gifted, soul-stirring voice and his larger-than-life personality have conquered stages all over the world and earned prizes and trophies. There was only one major award that he hadn’t received: the American GRAMMYTM… Last night, he finally won this overdue recognition, after being nominated on several previous occasions.
Vicente Fernández took home the GRAMMYTM for Best Regional Mexican Album with Necesito de Ti. This album was re-released on December 15, 2009, five months after the CD release, as a special-edition DVD. Both the CD and DVD have moved up the charts and been warmly embraced by Mexican music fans.
The GRAMMY awards were televised live, last night, on CBS.
