El Canto Del Loco Present “Un Million De Cicatrices”
Acclaimed in Spain and in Latin America from the moment they launched their first album in 2000, Spanish group El Canto del Loco (ECDL) will now conquer hearts in the United States with their soon to be released album Radio La Colifata presenta: El Canto del Loco.
And from that new musical production, the first single, Un millón de cicatrices, hits radio stations in this country today, January 12.
The members in this rock and pop band, whose origins go back to the mid-1990s, are Dani Martín (vocals), David Otero (guitar, chorus) and Chema Ruiz (bass).
Un millón de cicatrices is one of 20 songs that make up this album (recorded in Argentina), which features brand new versions of El Canto del Loco’s greatest hits. There is also a new song, Quiero aprender de ti, as well as duets with some of the greatest names in Spanish music today, including Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Natalia Lafourcade and Alejandro Sanz, among others.
Also included: a DVD with some 19 new videos for the songs, accompanied by commentary by the residents of Buenos Aires’ Hospital Neurosiquiátrico José Tiburcio Borda, and a documentary about Radio La Colifata, the hospital’s radio station.
In Spain, Radio La Colifata presenta: El Canto del Loco came out last November, and it has already received platinum status in sales. Now, with a song such as Un millón de cicatrices, the reception in the United States promises to be the same
The DVD for Radio La Colifata presenta: El Canto del Loco marks one of the most important and special moments in the band’s career due to the participation of the members of Radio La Colifata. This collaborative work between El Canto del Loco and La Colifata is what makes the album a unique project. And in the DVD, the people of Radio La Colifata participate in a movie, a documentary and the 19 new videos shot in Argentina by El Canto del Loco.
